He was born In 1945. He graduated with a Msc. degree from Electrical Engineering Faculty of Istanbul Technical University(ITUEE) in 1972. The same year, he became research asistant in Department at Electrical Engineering of ITU Engineering and Architecture Faculty. After receiving Ph.D degree from the same faculty in 1977, he did a postdoctoral work in University of Toronto, Canada. in 1979, he was a visiting professor in University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He became an Associate Professor in 1982, and a Full Professor in 1988, ITUEE. In Turkey, besides at being an instructer and involving research in ITUEE, he also gave lectures in Naval Academy and Bursa Uludag University. He has complited 2 Ph.D and 20 Msc thesis, and he still has 3 Ph.D 21 Msc thesis. He has 1 transaction paper, 14 International papers, 3 books, 1 lecture notes, and 13 research reports. He is consultant for ENPAY AS Since 1997 and was consultant for Arcelik A.S. between 1991 and 1995, and for Ministry of Finance in 1987. Also, he both involved and lead different projects in TUBITAK, Petlas... He was in governing board of different areas in ITU and he became Vise Dean of ITUEE between 1991 and 1995, and head of Electrical Machines Division of the same faculty between 1992 - 1994, and head of Department of Electrical Engineering in ITUEE between 1995-1998. He is married with two childeren. |
